Project:
Mid Term Review of the Community Benefits Sharing Pilot associated with the Tina River Hydropower Project, Solomon Islands
Client:
The Tina River Hydropower Project (TRHP) aims to increase the share of renewable energy in the Solomon Islands by constructing a 15-megawatt hydropower plant that will increase the amount of renewable energy in the Honiara national grid. It is the first Public-Private Partnership in the Solomon Islands used to deliver a major infrastructure project.
Task:
We were engaged to conduct a Mid Term Review of the Community Benefits Sharing Pilot (CBSP) associated with the TRHP.
The Mid Term Review objectives included:
examining implementation progress,
making recommendations for adjustment, and
reviewing the project strategy and its risk to sustainability.
